When I say Italy, do you immediately think of the Leaning tower of Pisa? Or the mouthwatering Italian cuisine? However, not everything about Italy is spaghetti, macaroni, and fettuccine, there are amusement parks and volcanoes as well! Today, as your fellow classmate who has been to Italy, I will bring you aboard on a journey over the 301,338 km2 which is Italy.Ever heard of the famous quote All roads lead to Rome? One of the things that pops up when you talk about Italy, is of course the capital of the country itself Rome. The ancient city of Rome has recorded history dating back to 753 BC. Although the city is old, and you might expect crumbled ruins, it has some spectacular sights which has remained since hundreds of years ago. One of these amazing places would be the Colosseum. This giant amphitheater can seat about 50,000 to 80,000, which is a huge number of people. Imagine our school's auditorium but 250 times larger. That is how big the Colosseum is. That is not including the hypogeum beneath the Colosseum which holds the animals, slaves, and other machinery which was used in gladiatorial contests. This amazing artifact still stands in the center of Rome, taking up 20,000 square meters. So why not visit this amazing work of history which took 8 years to build, and is standing strong till today?If history does not suit you, how about amusement parks? The Gardaland amusement park, located at Castelnuovo del Garda, has been ranked fifth in Forbes magazines top ten amusement parks in the world. With over 20 attractions, including the Gardaland Sea Life Aquarium, thrill seekers will definitely enjoy their time there.
