Number and operations. The student applies mathematical process standards to represent addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division while solving problems and justifying solutions.Introduction The purpose of the Text Set is to help students understand multiplication, and to help students progress an in depth understanding of multiplication. The goal is to engage each and every student through the lesson, since not every student has the same learning style. Another goal is to push the students to learn more about the multiplication world by having a Text Set around the topic. At the end of the text set, students should know different multiplication techniques, why they should use them, and how it could benefit them.Barker, H., Smith, E. (2013). Multiplication. Retrieved February 06, 2016, from httpwebcache.googleusercontent.comse This Articlebrochure is about a parent making a multiplication brochure in order to help her child at home. The parent includes three different strategies to help her child with multiplication relating addition to multiplication, the array model, and using blocks to represent time tables. The brochure presents how to solve the 2, 4, 5 and 10 time tables. For finding out the five time tables, it states that for even numbers multiplied by 5, the answer always ends in-0. For the odd numbers multiplied by 5, the answers always ends in 5. This brochure can really help me teach the lesson of multiplication in the classroom. When a student is stuck on the twos, it is told that the student add the number twice to get the answer. Most students will think learning 10s will be easy, but if they do not understand, then the brochure states that when completing the ten times tables, the number will always end in 0, and the number in the tens place will be the number you are multiplying by ten. Not only does the brochure gives great strategies, but it includes illustrations to connect to the multiplication problems.Dorough, B. (2009, September 13). Elementary, My...
