Why Religion is Difficult to Discuss With so many different belief systems in our world, its no wonder why religion is such a touchy subject in our society. It is not to be discussed in schools or any other non-church related activity because some one there might be offended. I personally dont care if you talk about religion to someone just as long as if they believe some thing different than you, dont tell him or her that they are wrong. It is a personal choice on which belief system you choose or if you choose one at all. There is no wrong religion nor is there a totally right one either, I dont think. Everyone has his or her views on this issue but Im going to express mine. I dont actively participate or even belong to a religion. This doesnt mean that I dont believe that there is a God I just dont thoroughly agree with any one religion. I dont interfere with others beliefs and in return I expect them to do the same to me. If everyone thought like this then I believe that religion wouldnt be the taboo subject it is in todays society. Religion has been banned from the classroom for no good reason. The main reason that it isnt talked about in public schools is for fear that a student might change his or her mind about their religion or that some one there might be offended by a member of a different religion. I think that this would be the best place to start in order to change the religious outlook of society. If the students were allowed to discuss religion between one another with out the fear of being made fun of, then that would spread to the rest of the community and so on. After awhile religion could be talked about without worry of offending someone or becoming the butt of some joke....
