Defining the ProblemIllegal immigration is something that happens everyday, whether people realize it or not. Illegal immigration is when a person enters the United States without government permission or stays in the United States past the expiration date on their visa. A lot of solutions have been considered for controlling illegal immigration, but the best solution include passing immigration reform so Americans dont have to pay for illegal immigrants healthcare, prison sentences for CEOs and other companies who hire illegal immigrants and lastly have regular deportations.A lot of misconception seems to happen with what is considered an immigrant and an illegal immigrant. An immigrant is a person who comes to a foreign country, and lives there permanently. They go through much processes and forms to become a citizen. An illegal immigrant is someone who stays in a foreign country after their visa or passport has expired, or crosses the border and stays illegally. Illegal immigrants are also referred to as illegal aliens, aliens, undocumented immigrants, and many other terms. The personnel that catch illegal immigrants or otherwise work the borders are called Border Patrol. US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is apart of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) which help keep illegal aliens out of the United States.Just like every other number for things in the United States increases, such as pollution or homelessness, so does the number of illegal immigrants living in the United State.
