Both Maroubra and Kogarah are famous suburbs of Australia. Maroubra is a beach suburb in the south-eastern whereas Kogarah is a residential suburb in the southern. This report will compare and contrast the services, housing and people of these two suburbs.Maroubra and Kogarah are similar with regard to services such as transport, retail, healthcare and education. Both suburbs have bus to city with time around 50 minutes. The retail of the two towns are the same because they have shopping centre, small shops and cafes. Maroubra locates near a major hospital and has many private clinics. Similarly, Kogarah has a hospital and private clinics. Education in two suburbs are alike because there are public and private schools. However, Maroubra does not have any colleges while Kogarah has one.While there are many similarities in services, the two suburbs have many differences in housing. The median house price in Maroubra is much more expensive than in Kogarah. One house in Maroubra costs 1,050,000 while one in Kogarah just costs 650,000. The major type of accommodation in both towns is apartment. Therefore, the median apartment price are cheaper, but in Maroubra, it still costs slightly more.There are many similarties and differences in the people of the two suburbs. Despite having the largest age group from 20 years old to 30 years old, the population are different because Maroubra has 26,500 people while Kogarah just has 10,900. About half of people in both suburbs were born in Australia howerver, the rest of Maroubra were born most in United Kingdom whereas these in Kogarah are Chinese. ...
