Nowadays many people are finding different ways to develop their own curriculum or even their abilities in order to become a successful person. Thus, they are opting to be a bilingual or even a multilingual person. Learning an additional language can be one way of those ways, because it always brings benefits and opportunities. In fact, cultural, academic or cognitive, and business aspects are the main purposes of why people are deciding to learn an additional language.There are a lot of symbols that can represent the culture of a country. The language that a group of society speaks is one the symbols that could truthfully represent it. Besides of the fact that everyone already speaks their own native language, speaking a language on top of their native language may symbolise that they are connected with other cultures. Sometimes groups of people are not just divided by location or by whom they are but they are also divided by the language that they speak. In order to have interconnection among cultures in the world, it is important that each person feel the necessity of interact with different culture by speaking their language. For instance, when people travel to a country, where people speak a language different from their language, they need to speak that language in order to interact with people and also to be familiar with that culture. Thus, they will be considered a multicultural person because they are able to be connected with others cultures in different languages. Speaking an additional language may make the students brain more flexible to the new knowledge. Thus, studies have shown that students who speak more than one language tend to make more progress than students who speak only one language.
