There are neighborhoods in the more rural and populated cities in the U.S, such as Los Angeles and New York City called Koreatown. Koreatown is remarkable for its apparent economic dynamism (Spencer 441). More people should visit the actual country to find out more about the culture of the people as opposed to just visiting the Koreatown neighborhoods. If more Americans visited South Korea Americans would become more interconnected with a culture that is already a part of the American culture. They will soon learn how parallel both countries are. Both South Korea and America are similar socially and politically, by visiting the country we will be able to know more about the country and understand them better. When Americans start to understand South Koreans better, we will be able to gain more cultural knowledge on how to be diplomatic to people around them as opposed to ignorant. Americans should visit South Korea because they would come to see how both the U.S. and South Korea are analogous to each other.South Korea (also known as the Republic of KoreaROK) has a democratic political system, similar to the U.S. They believe in the rights and freedom of the people just as the U.S. constitution believes in rights of the people. By law, South Korean presidents serve one five-year term. South Korean presidential elections are in December every five years. There are also two major political parties in ROK, the Conservative Saenuri PartyNFPand the opposition, center-left Democratic United PartyDUP (Manyin 32). Likewise, in the United States, the presidential elections begin in November every four years. The United States has two major political parties, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. Because the U.S. government is similar to the South Korean government, it is likely that someone from the United States will be able to adapt to the South Korean environment.
