What is a mistake? Why do we make mistakes? What is the purpose behind mistakes? Is there any good behind mistakes? Are mistakes avoidable? Well, we as people, find mistakes and wrong doings as being inevitable as we encounter them every day. We are not perfect even though some may insist they are because mistakes define one's character. Without mistakes we would live in a utopia where everybody is the identical. Mistakes have a negative connotation to their name as they are often committed when one chooses the wrong decision. When a mistake is committed they are meant to be acknowledged, and then reflected upon. Mistakes are meant to be learning obstacles in life. As a matter of fact, mistakes make people superior. In other words, failure can lead to success. Sometimes, one has to fail several times in order to succeed that is why life is often described as a continuous challenge. Over time, several prominent and famous figures have overcome their past faults and have succeeded in life.Thomas Edison, an American inventor, became famous for inventing the light bulb. After several failed attempts, Edison quotes, "Results! Why man, I have gotten a lot of results. I know several thousand things that won't work." Thomas Edison spent over two years trying to establish an effective incandescent light bulb that was effective. Over that time span, Edison used over 6,000 fibers to spark his light bulb by using a trial and error approach. When many asked Edison how many times would he fail before finding success he replied, "Son, I haven't failed! I've simply discovered another way not to invent the light bulb!" As Edison demonstrated, one shall not quit as they climb to find success.
