The book The Catcher and the Rye has been a very astonishing novel to read. The book shows messages that other books would not show. Even though other novels do not give messages it just has a story behind it. But one thing throughout this novel that caught my eye was one of the characters showed his emotions throughout his struggles. The main character Holden was not who I thought he was going to be. He wasnt my favorite character of the book but he wasnt my least favorite. Holden was a surprise he did not understand at the beginning that there will never be an easy way out of anything. That was one of the few messages that I had seen through his struggles. One thing I did not like about this book was all the terrible influences that Holden did.The influence to be cool so he can catch some girls attention or to have some fun. Then he continues to the next lie or mistake, never makes the right decision. I would have thought he would have noticed but he didnt which gave me a surprise. The last final thing I loved about this book was how Holden came to his senses and tried to fix his mistakes and do the right thing at the end. This part when he tried giving the borrowed money he took from Phoebe back. It showed he cared and wanted to be the right person. I liked this part of the book best because I like when people take the right path and knows whats right...
